Reflections

Observation

In this semester I noticed that I learned a lot of skills and gained new knowledge, I had the chance to work more on my own without 100% assistance from Mr. Vinod as in the previous semesters, he intentionally keeps us working on our own to teach us how to work under pressure and how to evaluate our designs.

Experience

Despite the pressure and the amount of work I had to complete this semester, I had a glimpse of the experience when working in real life with real clients, I felt the pressure of the deadlines, I had too many projects to complete, I learned the value of time and time management.

Thanks to this module I discovered the art of book design, I liked the process of bookmaking from scratch.

Findings

Going through the semester I found that Graphic design is the foundation of any other design field, as Mr. Vinod always says, a good UI/UX designer must be a brilliant Graphic designer.

After learning proper graphic design principles and skills it will be easy exploring other design fields.

I also found that real-life clients' feedback can be harsh and honest, real-life deadlines are tighter. As every semester I learn new things, in this semester I learned book design and text formatting techniques and skills for the first time, this module is teaching us the basics so we can further explore this domain.

I would like to thank Mr. Vinod for his guidance, and his precious feedback and hints. Also I thank him for motivating us through this rough semester, for supporting us, for giving us advice about working in real-life situations.
