This week we were asked to choose some articles related to our research topics and criticize them using certain methods.

The lecture slides contain all the steps to be taken in order to criticize a research paper.

I have chosen five articles related to color psychology in web design, I downloaded those articles from google scholar.

Feedback On Critical reviews before submission

Week 5

- critical review tutorial

- reviewed and approved the articles for critical review task

- use recent articles (from 2010 to now)

-if the article has a pattern you can criticize pages of different authors.

- refer to the questions in the weekly lectures and try to answer them as much as you can.

Week 6

-what is the benefit of the result  in the first critical review 

-did they achieve the result?

-the paper is inductive and not deductive they just deducted the results from the experiments

-second critic's method is inductive too

-keep the second paragraph of the second critical review for the conclusion  (highlighted)

- describe the methods used in both articles.

-add in the reasons and evidence used also the logic etc. to the second critics review

-refer to the questions in the lecture notes 

-complete and improve these two critical reviews get used to the methodology and start working on the other three critical reviews.

-overall good 

- If you have a comment it should be backed up with a reason

- rewrite the Autor's information in APA style 

Week 7

- work on referencing APA style again 

- say why the method is strong 

- evaluate after you analyze 

- refer to the slides and reorganize the review 

- the experiments part is under the methodology

- organize all points according to the slides 

- describe the methods used or the experiment 

- reasons and evidence should be after methodology (refer to the slides)

- define nice 

- mention what are the articles or cite them for critical review number 4

After getting the feedback from Dr. Jinchi I refined my critical reviews according to the comments.

Feedback After Submission 

• Relevance of research: The research is relevant but try to study articles that are within the last 8-10 years. Make sure you write all bibliography in APA style.

• Clarity of examination: The critiques are rather thorough, showing understanding of the reading and even including your suggestions as to how the research may be improved (CR1), and demonstrating an understanding of the objective of the research method (CR3). The writing is informative and effective and it is structured and systematic.
