Instructions
Motion comic
This is the final Project for this semester, The goal is to make a story and transform it into a comic.
My story
log-line
A kid lives with his father in a destroyed city due to a nuclear disaster, he will face a lot of challenges. the father will die, the kid will try to survive by himself.
Story overall
A little kid and his father survived a huge nuclear factory explosion, they are living in an empty city everyone is dead, they go to abended grocery stores to pick up some canned food. they kept living this routine for months when they saw a big cloud of flies coming towards them, toxicated flies. the radiations from the melting nuclear factory affected those insects, they are looking for food. the little boy and his father started to protect themselves from those insects by wearing special suits. one day the father went to bring some food, but he didn't show up again, the kid went to look for him, he found him dead. his suite broke, one fly managed to bite him. the kid was so sad ... he started looking for a final solution to this problem. he went to the house and looked for a toxic formula that his father made which he will use to kill the insects. he succeeded at the end but still sad because he will be living by himself for the rest of his life.

Reference
I did some exploration on Pinterest for the scenes and characters, since my story has the apocalypse theme I chose the following images as references.

Sketching
After finishing the visual exploration, I built a general idea on how my comic will look like.
I started organizing the panels and sketching the story inside them.
For the whole Project I used Photoshop.
Here are my sketches:

Feedback was given after the consultation session
Overall good, start on drawing the outlines and the coloring.
Also I asked miss Yvonne for a tutorial on how to draw and color a character from scratch, she demonstrated the whole process and provided several ways of coloring to speed up the drawing process.
Outlines and colors
As I mentioned before, I used Photoshop to do the whole thing, so I went ahead and started drawing the outlines and add the colors to my comic.
I used Adobe color wheel to obtain all the colors from the references above.
Colored Panels
After I was done coloring the whole comic I added textures to the pages to make it look like an old comic book. I used these two textures for this matter.

Now I started on the animation which I did on Adobe Photoshop too. I created a video timeline and moved the parts that I've cut already using the selection and pen tool.
After animating each page I exported them as a video.
Then I added some sound effects to the video using an editing software.
